Ryan Murphy talks American Horror Story season 10 surprises
The title of American Horror Story season 10 has been revealed: American Horror Story: Double Feature. Showrunner Ryan Murphy teased what that means, and while he’s not giving everything away, he’s giving us plenty of food for thought. As he wrote in a comment on his Instagram, “Double Feature” means “TWO SEASONS for the fans airing in one calendar year! So double the viewing pleasure.”
The two halves of season 10 will both be beach-themed. The teaser that revealed the title title says “One by the sand, and one by the sea.”
Everything we know about American Horror Story season 10
The idea of two seasons within one is intriguing. Will they tie into each other, or will they be a true double feature with two entirely different casts and concepts? Or could it be like season 6’s Roanoke, which featured a show within a show?
Dropping clues, Murphy posted pictures of cast members Leslie Grossman and Macaulay Culkin on a sandy beach…
…and a picture of a couple of spooky figures in the dark.
The season is set in Provincetown, Massachusetts, a sleepy beach community that’s located at the tip of Cape Cod. In addition to Grossman, other returning cast members include Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Adina Porter, and Billie Lourd.
There’s no release date for season 10 as of this writing, but American Horror Story traditionally airs in the fall so it’s very likely that the premiere will be in September or October.
