Character name: Tycho Nestoris

You know Mark Gatiss for so many roles, so how could you possibly forget that he appeared in Game of Thrones? His appearances are scattered across three seasons, mostly when we spend time in Braavos. After all, he’s only needed when we get to the Iron Bank.

Tycho Nestoris is one of the bankers at the Iron Bank. He interacts with a number of characters, starting with Stannis Baratheon and Ser Davos in season 4. Like any banker, he looks for any reason not to lend money to people.

The Iron Bank part of the story was a little undercooked, so it’s not surprising if you forgot about the character, even when Gatiss has appeared in so many memorable roles. One of the biggest is as Mycroft Holmes on Sherlock Holmes, starring Benedict Cumberbatch as the title character. Gatiss and Cumberbatch are excellent onscreen together, so check it out if you haven’t already.

He’s also played roles on Gunpowder, Doctor Who, Christopher Robin, and much more. You’ll soon be able to see him on Mission: Impossible 7, which is still in production.
