Today marks the final day of filming on Lucifer, the little show that could about what happens after the devil tires of sitting his throne in hell and decides to run a nightclub in Los Angeles.

After three seasons on Fox, the show moved house to Netflix, where fans are still waiting for the second half of season 5. As wistful they are knowing that today marks the end of the road for the production, the series added some sweet to the bitter by announcing the release date for the back half of season 5:

Lucifer season 5-B arrives on May 28. You can’t keep the devil down.

What happens in Lucifer season 5 part 2?

Naturally, the cast and crew aren’t providing many details about the devil and his assorted friends, enemies and colleagues will get up to in the final leg of the season, but star DB Woodside (Amenadiel) TV Line that the new episodes “pick up literally two seconds from where we ended.”

“When God (Dennis Haysbert) comes, a lot of chaos is going to follow,” he said. “Amenadiel is absolutely humiliated that God saw him behaving the way that he was with his brothers because as the oldest, he’s really supposed to be the one that sets the example – and he was not doing that!”

After that, fans have season 6 to look forward to, and then, the show will finally end for real.
