Check out a trailer showcasing the further adventures of Rick, Morty, Beth, Summer, Jerry and an astronaut dog who throws knives.

The last new episode of Rick and Morty aired in May of 2020, nearly a year ago. When all is said and done, fans will have had to wait over a year for another hit of Adult Swim’s off-the-wall animated sci-fi series, but at least they now have a date to look forward to: season 5 of Rick and Morty will premiere on Sunday, June 20 at 11:00 p.m. EST.

The announcement comes complete with a new trailer. Check it out:

We see flashes of the gang in leather fetish outfits, a “strange horny ocean man” on the Smith family lawn, zip-lining through futuristic metallic tunnels, knife-throwing space dogs, and much more. Looks like a typical Rick and Morty season.

If you can’t wait that long for more Rick and Morty, be advised that co-creator Justin Roiland just put out the second season of Solar Opposites on Hulu. That show is also an irreverent animated sci-fi comedy where Roiland voices a genius a**hole, so it may have it takes to tide Rick and Morty fans over for the next two months.

Next. A Game of Thrones Broadway play is coming, about the Tourney at Harrenhal. dark
