Little Nemo in Slumberland is a classic comic strip that dates all the way back to 1905. It’s seen its fair share of adaptations over the years. The latest is Slumberland, a Netflix movie where Nema (Marlow Barkley) navigates the world of dreams and nightmares in the hope of reuniting with her missing father, and with the aid of a nine-foot tall half-man, half-beast creature named Flip.
In cast you couldn’t guess, Jason Momoa is playing Flip. He’s supposed to have tusks, too, and shaggy fur. One assumes there will be some CGI work before the movie hits Netflix in 2022, but based on the first photos, Momoa looks every inch the otherworldly even without the help:
No, you’re not dreaming—that’s Jason Momoa with a full set of horns.

Here's a sneak peek behind the scenes at SLUMBERLAND, a new adventure story about an eccentric outlaw (Momoa) who guides a young hero (Marlow Barkley) through a secret dreamworld.

The horns really do complete the look:

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) lands a new TV role
Momoa isn’t the only Game of Thrones veteran hard at work. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who first appeared as Jaime Lannister on GoT 10 years ago, will star in an adaptation of The Second Home by Christina Clancy, per Deadline.
The book is a trio of siblings — two girls and their adopted brother — who have a disastrous summer at their family’s home in Cape Cod. Fifteen years later, after their parents have died, the girls decide to sell the house, but the brother wants to keep it and set things straight about what happened years ago.
I’m assuming Coster-Waldau is going to play the dad or something The Second Home doesn’t have a network or release date as of yet.
Happy 10th birthday to Game of Thrones!
