For those just wanting to get their hands on a book sans autograph, you can pre-order the novel on . A hardback copy will cost you around $21.85, while the Kindle version will run you $15.99.

What is Outlander book nine about?

The official synopsis of Go Tell The Bees That I Am Gone reads, “The past may seem the safest place to be…but it is the most dangerous time to be alive.”

"Jamie Fraser and Claire Randall were torn apart by the Jacobite Rising in 1743, and it took them twenty years to find each other again. Now the American Revolution threatens to do the same.It is 1779 and Claire and Jamie are at last reunited with their daughter, Brianna, her husband, Roger, and their children on Fraser’s Ridge. Having the family together is a dream the Frasers had thought impossible."

Conflict is on the horizon, as “Jamie knows loyalties among his tenants are split and it won’t be long until the war is on his doorstep.”

Of course, Jamie and Claire are just some of the characters facing changes in the ninth book. Brianna and Roger will be grappling with the reality of being in another time, and whether it’s really worth it. Who wants to live through the Revolutionary War after they’ve experienced the wonders of electricity?

And then we have William Ransom, who will be “coming to terms with the discovery of his true father’s identity.” His true father is none other than Jamie Fraser; his mother Geneva Dunsany died during childbirth. Unable to call William his own, Jamie gave Lord John Grey the responsibility of raising William. Now it looks like those issues will be coming to a head.

Gabaldon is certainly giving Outlander fans a lot to look forward to! November 23 can’t come soon enough.
