If Robert Kirkman had his way, he’d welcome everyone from The Walking Dead to join the cast of his new hit Amazon Prime series Invincible. The animated superhero show for adults was recently given the green light for two more seasons, paving the way for even more veterans to hop on board.

ComicBook.com spoke with Kirkman about his hopes for future guest stars. “I hesitate to name names, just because I would eventually like to bring everyone,” he said. “I can’t think of an actor on The Walking Dead I wouldn’t want to work with again. It’s an amazing group of actors. Andrew Lincoln, Danai Gurira, Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Jeffrey Dean Morgan…there’s not really anyone I wouldn’t want to bring in.”

The Walking Dead alum Andrew Lincoln would be a great fit for Invincible

Invincible is already home to several members of The Walking Dead cast. Steven Yeun plays the title character, supported by the likes of Lennie James, Michael Cudlitz, Khary Payton, Sonequa Martin-Green, Lauren Cohan, Chad Coleman and Ross Marquand.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to make filming a challenge, voice acting is something that has become more and more appealing for actors who either don’t want to travel or aren’t able to travel. It’s possible for actors to do the voice work at a local studio, or even at home in some cases.

ComicBook’s Russ Burlingame makes an incredibly good argument about a possible cameo for Andrew Lincoln on Invincible. Lincoln could use his native English accent in a role on Invincible, which would be a very interesting turn after TWD fans have grown accustomed to his Southern accent.

Invincible has been a refreshing addition to Amazon Prime and the superhero landscape at large. The fully fleshed out series, which is based on Kirkman’s comic book series, manages to be dramatic and unrelenting, killing off characters without a backwards glance. (Hence the perpetual need for new voice actors) Adding more actors from The Walking Dead universe would make a great series even better.
