Fan-made timeline maps out the Game of Thrones Cinematic Universe

Game of Thrones ended a couple years back, but in today’s world of mega-franchises, HBO isn’t letting it remain idle for long. We already know of one spin-off on the way: House of the Dragon, which will be on our screens in 2022. But there are a lot of others in development, including an adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s Tales of Dunk and Egg, a show about Corlys Velaryon, and more.

Apart from House of the Dragon, we don’t know which (if any) of these will make it to air. HBO seems a ways off from releasing some kind of 10-year plan the way Marvel does for the MCU.

But that hasn’t stopped fans from thinking about the possibilities! House of The Dragon Brasil posted this very entertaining fan-made timeline imagining what the next 10 years of Game of Thrones content might look like:

House of the Dragon in 2022! Ice & Fire Stories in 2023! The Rains of Castamere in 2024! An ambitious plan.

What Game of Thrones prequel series are coming in development?

Let’s underline that this is a graphic made for fans by fun. We’ve heard nothing about any shows called Ice & Fire StoriesThe Rains of Castamere or The Conquest. We did hear about a series called Empire of Ash a while back; it may or may not have been a show about the Valyrian empire, but if it ever existed, it doesn’t look like it’s in active development now.

That said, there are shows being developed based on George R.R. Martin’s The Hedge Knight (that’s the Dunk and Egg show we mentioned earlier) and one that will tell the story of Princess Nymeria, who led her people out of Essos to settle in Dorne.

Beyond that, the shows we know are in development include 9 Voyages (aka Sea Snake), a series about the younger days of Lord Corlys Velaryon; a mysterious animated series that may be the same as one of the other shows we’ve heard of, and a show called Flea Bottom; no idea what that one’s about. There’s also a play about the Tourney at Harrenhal coming to Broadway, although that’s a little different.

Perhaps sometimes soon HBO will release an actual Game of Thrones timeline. Until then, kudos to the fans who put this one together!
