Recently, Doctor Who alum Noel Clarke (Mickey Smith) has been accused by several women of sexually inappropriate behavior. This brought up older claims made against John Barrowman (Captain Jack Harkness) that he exposed himself on the sets of both Doctor Who and Torchwood. Barrowman responded to the allegations and admitted to “tomfoolery,” but stressed that his actions were never meant to be interpreted as sexual in nature. Nonetheless, he has officially been removed from the upcoming immersive experience, Doctor Who: Time Fracture.

The organizers behind Time Fracture addressed Barrowman’s removal in the “Frequently Asked Questions” part of the official website:

"Immersive Everywhere have taken the decision to remove this pre record from Doctor Who: Time Fracture. We will continue to include content that pays tribute to this brilliant show that is Torchwood so as not to disappoint its fans, and are working on an exciting storyline to be announced soon."

What is Doctor Who: Time Fracture?

While John Barrowman won’t be part of the experience, preparations are in full swing, with the shows slated to begin on May 26 at the “UNIT HQ” in London.

Rehearsals have begun and fans have gotten their first look at the incredible set. Seriously, how epic does that look?

Doctor Who: Time Fracture takes place in 1940, where “a weapon of unknown origin destroys a small corner of Mayfair, and simultaneously opens a rift in space and time.” It will be up to the audience, aka the UNIT recruits, to help UNIT deal with the problem.

It’s going to be quite the experience, and a wonderful way to return to nerdy normalcy after a difficult year. It’s time to get back to the Daleks, Cybermen, and Weeping Angels, everyone!
