Later this year, we will all finally get to see Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of (the first half of) Dune, Frank Herbert’s landmark sci-fi novel about the desert planet of Arrakis, full of political gamesmanship, fierce battles, and sandworms the size of skyscrapers. Once upon a time, this movie was going to come out in 2020, but I think we all know what happened in that year, so long story short, the film is now coming out in October.

But some folk have gotten to see it early. That includes Paris Brosnan, the 20-year-old son of former James Bond frontman Pierce Brosnan. The @SecretsOfDune Twitter account saved an account of his review posted to his self-destructing Instagram Stories:

Paris Brosnan liked Dune. Now you know.

Who is Paris Brosnan, Son of Pierce?

With that out of the way, I can get to the real reason I was compelled to dash off this article: did you know that Pierce Brosnan had a kid? I didn’t, nor did I know that he’s apparently a cover model who’s graced the pages of rags like Teen Vogue, GQ Korea and more:

Am I jealous because this guy got to watch Dune early on account of him being connected to some powerful Hollywood people? No, and I am offended by the question I asked myself.

You can see Dune in theaters (and maybe on HBO Max, depending on how negotiations go between the producer and distributor) on October 1, 2021.

Next. Dune 2020 has an embarrassment of stars—How well do they match their roles?. dark
