The second half of Lucifer season 5 arrives on Netflix on May 28 and will provide the lead-up to the show’s final season. The first half of season 5 delivered a huge surprise when Lucifer’s twin brother Michael arrived in LA to cause trouble for his brother, leading their father, God, to appear in the mid-season finale to help broker peace between his sons.
Michael has been sowing seeds of doubt among Lucifer’s friends. He used information about Maze’s mother to pit her against Lucifer, and he made Chloe doubt Lucifer’s ability to admit his feelings for her. Michael also revealed Lucifer’s true nature to Dan, who is struggling to cope with the knowledge that Lucifer really is the devil.
Now that God is in LA, all bets are off. Lucifer, Michael and Amenadiel know better than to upset their father, but that doesn’t mean the fight is over.
