Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) and three other women who work in the movie business combine forces for Frank Film Club!

Game of Thrones veteran Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) is in the film business. She’s not just an actor: she’s also a producer, and she wants to educate herself about movies to the greatest extent possible. To that end, she’s teamed with three friends for Frank Film Club, a new podcast where they watch and talk about movies, and you’re invited to join in!

The Frank Film Club is made up of Williams, filmmakers Laurie Roberts and Chloe Culpin, and casting director Hannah (she doesn’t give her last name in the little audio trailer above). New episodes of the show will go up every Tuesday and Friday, which means lots of movies to watch and talk about.

“We really wanted to make a space where there’s no pressure to speak about film in a certain way, where we could be ourselves and enjoy the freedom of the discussion,” Williams said in a statement. “Frank Film Club is a place where you didn’t have to study film to have an opinion. We’re so grateful and excited to share it with listeners everywhere.”

Sounds like a fun time! Although I did laugh a little at Williams talking about how the group will is “going to push ourselves and watch movies from pre-2000,” although she was joking. Pre-2000s movies are classic cinema now, aren’t they? “We’ll even be watching the dreaded black-and-white movies.”

The first season of Frank Film Club will cover movies like Pixar’s Soul, Boots Riley’s Sorry To Bother You and Ridley Scott’s Thelma And Louise. If this sounds fun, follow along on the Frank Film Club feed.
