The upcoming fifth season of Rick and Morty looks just as bonkers as ever. If you don’t believe me, Adult Swim has ponied up a new trailer with proof. Watch below:
I think I’m most intrigued by the giant turkeys with guns and sunglasses. Thanksgiving special? The family hanging in midair in BDSM outfits is eyebrow-raising, too. Hellraiser special?
Rick and Morty season 5 premieres on Adult Swim on Sunday, June 20.
Rick and Morty is getting a spin-off: The Vindicators
It’s a big week for Rick and Morty. As the fifth season approaches, Collider reports that the show is getting a spin-off: The Vindicators will be about the superhero team introduced (and mostly killed) in the season 3 episode “Vindicators 3: The Return of Worldender.” Obviously, the new series will take place before the episode, or at least that’s our guess. I suppose they could also revive the likes of Vance Maximus, Alan Rails and Crocubot for new adventures; anything is possible in Rick’s world.
The Vindicators will be between eight and 10 episodes and released on unspecified digital platforms. There are a lot of Avengers parodies already out there, but if it’s coming from the minds behind Rick and Morty, what’s one more?
