From Black Adam to Superman’s dog Krypto, Dwayne Johnson is making a home for himself in the DC Universe.

Dwayne Johnson is literally everywhere, all the time, and somehow still manages to post adorable pictures of him and his kids while he’s acting in every single movie there is. It’s quite an impressive feat, and for now he shows absolutely no signs of stopping.

While he’s busy wreaking havoc in his upcoming DC film Black Adam, he’s also all set to solidify his place in the DC Universe as Superman’s dog Krypto. According to Collider, Dwayne Johnson will be lending his voice for to the animated film DC League of Super-Pets as the Man of Steel’s best friend. That movie, by the way, will mark the first time there will be a feature about Krypto.

With Superman out vacationing, the responsibility to stop crime in his absence will fall on Krypto, who is “teaming up with a flying cat” for the occasion. I’m calling it now: DC League of Super-Pets will be my favorite animated film of 2022.

The movie is set to release on May 20, 2022, just ahead of the Memorial Day slot that year, which will be dominated by Mission: Impossible 7 and John Wick: Chapter 4, both of which were delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

With Dwayne Johnson already a part of the DC family, it’s actually quite hilarious that voicing Krypto will be the first DC hero he plays on the big screen. Black Adam is set to release after DC League of Super-Pets on July 29, 2022, which means he’s play man’s best friend first and then the biggest anti-hero of the DC Universe.

Either way, I’m excited because this is the Rock we’re talking about, and the more we can get of him, the better. Luckily, we don’t need to wait until next year to see him back on our screens, as he’ll appear alongside Emily Blunt in Disney’s Jungle Cruise this summer, on July 30, 2021.

Yay for going back to the movies!
