The new movie Gunpowder Milkshake basically sells itself: so Game of Thrones Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister) plays an assassin named Scarlet who years ago abandons her daughter Sam, played by Marvel veteran Karen Gillan (Nebula). Sam is raised by the Firm, the crime organization where Scarlet used to work, and becomes an assassin like her mother. The Firm is run by Paul Giamatti, so you know they mean business.

After a hit goes wrong, Sam has to protect young Emily (Chloe Coleman) from a lot of bad guys who are after her. Sam seeks the help of her mother and three other assassins played by action icons Angela Bassett, Carla Gugino and Michelle Yeoh. And then the bullets start flying. It sounds like a recipe for a good time. Does the trailer deliver? You decide:

Yeah, that looks like fun. And it’s coming to Netflix, so it won’t be hard to watch.

When does Gunpowder Milkshake come out on Netflix?

Gunpowder MIlkshakes hits Netflix in the U.S. on July 14. It looks to play to the strengths of all the actors involved. I don’t think anyone who watched Headey on Game of Thrones will doubt that she can play a killer. That title is really good, too.

Next. The writing on HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel is “really good”. dark
