From Spider-rides to Captains America to beer that fills your cup from the bottom, Marvel’s Avengers Campus is full of sights to see:

After a coronavirus-mandated delay, the Avengers Campus theme park opens at Disneyland tomorrow, taking the spot formerly occupied by the former A Bug’s Life area at Disneyland California Adventure, which I think we can all agree isn’t quite as relevant these days. The Avengers Campus is all about the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and is sold as a former Stark Industries complex transformed into a superhero school where new recruits can join Earth’s mightiest heroes.

What does that mean in practice? Well, obviously, there will be lots of actors dressed up like Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow and more walking around taking selfies with visitors. Now that Disney has let journalists into the park early to cover it, we have an idea of what that might look like. Here’s a dude dressed as Spider-Man performing for the crowd:

We also got a look at a Doctor Strange and some of the Dora Milaje guards from Wakanda:

Marvel trotted out celebrities like Anthony Mackie for the opening ceremonies. Here he is meeting his Captain America doppelgänger:

The biggest attraction at the Avengers Campus may be the ride “Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure.” Tom Holland, who features on the ride in video form, talked a bit about it in a preview video a while back:

We don’t know exactly what the ride entails, but it sounds like a hit:

There are also restaurants like the Pym Test Kitchen, which serves the sort of super-sized food seen in the Ant-Man movies, and the Shawarma Palace food court, where the Avengers ate at the end of their first team-up movie. That one sounds a little prosaic for a superhero theme park, but all the beer in the park flows up like it did in Thor: Ragnarok, so we’ll allow it:

That is definitely fun.

The Avengers Campus opens tomorrow, Friday, June 4.
