Netflix’s live-action Cowboy Bebop show is coming this fall

Yoko Kanno, who composed the famously jazzy soundtrack for Cowboy Bebop, is returning for Netflix’s live-action remake, which is coming this year!

Netflix’s Geeked Week rolls on with new info about the streaming service’s live-action remake of Cowboy Bebop, the beloved sci-fi anime from the late ’90s. The show follows a group of bounty hunters making their living across the solar system, but what really kicked things up a notch was the style. The series was famous for its jazzy soundtrack by Yoko Kanno, who Netflix has revealed is coming back for the remake! Watch the teaser below:

That’s John Cho, Daniella Pineda and Mustafa Shakir as lead characters Spike Spiegel, Faye Valentine and Jet Black respectively. We’ve seen a lot of the rest of the cast too, although somewhat concernedly, there’s been no news of an actor playing Radical Edward, the fourth member of the bounty hunting foursome.

Perhaps the biggest announcement here is that the Cowboy Bebop show will be out in the fall! The series was delayed both by COVID and after Cho injured his leg on set. But things are moving ahead now!
