The unbelievably expansive Marvel Cinematic Universe now consists of 23 movies and three Disney+ TV series. Given the enormous number of projects, there’s bound to be a vast array of props and costumes that the cast could potentially take home from the set. Think of the glorious possibilities: Captain America’s shield, Thor’s hammer, the Arc Reactor.

Even Tom Hiddleston has channeled his inner God of Mischief at times. During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the Loki actor revealed the item he kept from the set, although it wasn’t anything particularly mind-blowing. Rather than taking Loki’s horns or Thor’s hammer or something, he took home…a scarf.

You read that right: a scarf. It’s possible I expected more from the man who plays a character known for taking anything not nailed down.

Jimmy Kimmel is not impressed with Tom Hiddleston’s Marvel souvenir

That said, at least it’s a famous scarf. He wore it while filming the first Thor movie way back in 2011, and he still wears it regularly today. “Loki comes down to visit Thor in the first movie. And he’s wearing this scarf,” Hiddleston said.

Kimmel didn’t find it all that interesting. After all, it’s just a scarf, one he couldn’t even recall from the first movie. “No, I do not remember that,” he laughed.

“Loki is worthy too,” Hiddleston adds. It’s definitely no Mjölnir. Apparently, Chris Hemsworth (Thor) has at least five hammers scattered around his home, but unlike Hiddleston, his hammers won’t keep him warm in the winter!

But if Kimmel didn’t appreciate it, fans on Twitter sure did:

Tom Hiddleston clearly loves his comfy scarf, but it’s pretty tame compared to items other MCU stars have taken home with them. For instance Chris Evans has a Captain America shield, and Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man) famously took the gigantic 30-foot Avengers “A” from the side of the Stark Tower with him after the 2012 Avengers movie.

But he should more opportunities to swipe things from the set of Loki. Marvel is going all in on the new series; in fact, there are already versions of Loki walking around the Avengers Campus at Disneyland wearing the jumpsuit he wears after getting by the Time Variance Authority in the series premiere:

Loki is the latest MCU show to air on Disney+. If the premiere is anything to go by, it looks like we’ve got an epic journey ahead. New episodes air Wednesdays.
