So what’s being going on in the wide world of former Game of Thrones stars this week? Well, if you ever wondered what Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson — aka Gregor Clegane, the Mountain that Rides –looked like in drag, you’re in luck! I don’t know what inspired 2018’s World’s Strongest Man to do himself up like this, but it happened, and you can watch below on his Instagram:

On September 18, Bjornsson will take on another “World’s Strongest Man” title holder, Eddie Hall, in a boxing match. Drag is optional but encouraged.

The High Sparrow from Game of Thrones gets knighted

Moving on from whatever that was, Jonathan Pryce (High Sparrow) was given a knighthood by Queen Elizabeth during her Birthday Honours, for his services to drama and charity. He now has the title of “Sir” Pryce.

Pryce, 74, has a long career spanning decades. He caught the attention of fantasy fans around the world when he played the High Sparrow in Game of Thrones. And in 2020, he got his first Oscar nomination for his role in The Two Popes.

“When I began work at the Liverpool Everyman under Alan Dosser in 1972, I saw theatre as an implement of change – to entertain and to inform,” he said in a statement, via Metro. “The arts remind people to be kinder, more understanding, questioning and to be more empathetic.”

Up next for Sir Pryce is actually a role in Netflix’s The Crown, where he portrays Prince Philip!

Fan imagines Pedro Pascal as David Bowie

From The Mandalorian to Wonder Woman 1984 and soon HBO’s The Last of Us, Pedro Pascal is pretty much everywhere these days. His career has gone from strength to strength after playing Oberyn Martell on Game of Thrones.

And he’s amassed a lot of fans. Over on Twitter, Pascal frequently mentions music icon David Bowie, so one fan took it upon themselves to create some awesome artwork imagining the actor as Bowie from the Ziggy Stardust era. It absolutely has the Pascal stamp of approval:

I see a biopic in his future.
