After what has felt like years of waiting, The Flash movie is finally in production in London. Plot details have been kept under wraps about this Ezra Miller vehicle, although there’s been a lot of speculation that it will adapt the Flashpoint storyline from DC Comics.
For those that don’t know, the Flashpoint comics explore an alternate version of the DC heroes we all know and love. It starts with Barry Allen, aka the Flash, going back in time to prevent his mother’s murder, but in doing so he alters the timeline. He’s the only one who knows things have changed dramatically, and it’s up to him to set them to rights.
There are many stories that branch off Flashpoint, including Thomas Wayne as Batman and Aquaman and Wonder Woman going to war against each another. If you haven’t read the comics, I highly advise you to, they’re so much fun to read!
If The Flash movie is indeed adapting this series of comics, it could potentially be one of the most epic movies of all time. They could go in lots of different directions, and we already know they’re giving us treats like an appearance from Michael Keaton reprising his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Leaked set photos recently surfaced of Keaton on the set of The Flash film, and it brought me a lot of joy.
See Sasha Calle as Supergirl in The Flash
And those aren’t the only photos leaking from the set. Sasha Calle was spotted dressed as Supergirl, looking superheroic in a short black hairdo and a form fitting super-suit. The speculation is that she’s playing Clark Kent and Lois Lane’s daughter, Lara Lane Kent. If you take a look at the pics, the resemblance is uncanny!
Leaked photos have been making their rounds on the Twitterverse, despite producer Barbara Muschietti urging fans to stop sharing it.
There are some official shots out there, too, like this post from director Andy Muschietti (brother of Barbara) showing us a close-up of Supergirl’s suit:
In the age of social media, leaks are inevitable, especially when films and shows shoot out in public. It’s best to just embrace that fact as director David F. Sanberg did when he released a tease of Zachary Levi’s new Shazam suit from the upcoming Shazam!: Fury of the Gods.
It doesn’t seem like that The Flash producers are going to handle the leaked Supergirl photos in the same way, but you never know!
Whatever else they give us, I’m excited to see how The Flash movie comes together when it releases on November 4, 2022.
