Apple TV+ continues to carve out space for itself with a new trailer for Foundation, an adaptation of Isaac Asimov’s classic sci-fi trilogy.

Between Ted LassoServantFor All MankindCentral ParkLisey’s Story and now this, Apple TV+ is carving out some territory for itself in the streaming wars. Today, it released a new trailer for Foundation, its adaptation of legendary author Isaac Asimov’s sci-fi epic, and it’s looking pretty good:

Asimov started developing the Foundation series with short stories as far back as 1942, before eventually writing his trilogy: FoundationFoundation and Empire and Second Foundation. It’s about a might Galactic Empire ruled over by Brother Day (Lee Pace). Mathematician Hari Seldon (Jared Harris) stirs up unrest when he calculates that the Empire is doomed to fall, even as he suggests ways to preserve it.

There are so many streaming services out there right now that it’s hard to justify getting too many. I don’t have Apple TV+ at the moment, but I have to admit that it’s looking pretty tempting lately. Now which service do I drop to make room for this one…?

Foundation premieres on Apple TV+ on September 24 of this year. You’ll be able to watch the first three episodes right from the jump, with the rest to follow every Friday.
