Game of Thrones fan makes Drogon’s head out of cardboard boxes

One Game of Thrones fan used cardboard boxes to re-create Drogon’s head in exquisite detail, and it’s absolutely amazing!

Game of Thrones fans are some of the most artistic and talented out there. Earlier this year, we saw how professional sand sculptor Leonardo Ugolini recreated the Red Keep purely out of sand. And now, we have a Redditor making Drogon the dragon’s head out of cardboard boxes.

Yes, we’re serious — take a look for yourself below!

"[NO SPOILERS] Here is Drogon’s head that I made entirely out of cardboard boxes, what do you think about it? from gameofthrones"

At first glance, it seems nearly impossible that this could have been created from cardboard boxes alone. Look at the attention to detail on that guy, teeth, eyes, spikes, skin and all! It looks like it could have been a ceramic art piece, but it’s not!

This Game of Thrones fan shared a YouTube video on how he brought Drogon to life simply using Amazon boxes. He takes you through every tedious step of the process, and by the end, you won’t believe how something so elaborate was created from the boxes most of us throw away without a second thought:

So how was this done? Well, the artist takes the boxes, cuts them into pieces, and uses a template to outline every part of Drogon’s head. The video starts off with an explanation of how to create the templates and then goes into the process of creating the skull.

We then learn how to make the teeth, eyes, horns (big and small) and pattern of the skin. Throughout the video, the artist uses simple tools like a glue gun to bring his creation to life.

EpicCardboardProps has made many other items. In the background of this video, you’ll see the Millennium Falcon, the creepy Alien head, and I believe what looks like Thor’s hammer, the one he used to try and kill Thanos in Avenger’s Infinity War.

A round of applause for this talented Game of Thrones fan! We want more. Perhaps his version of the Red Keep from King’s Landing?
