Today, Netflix mounted WitcherCon, an online event dedicated to all things The Witcher. We got a lot of new info about what’s coming, but let’s be honest: it’s all about the trailer, and Netflix gave us two.
First up, we got a look at the second season of the Netflix show, featuring the returns of Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill), Princess Cirilla (Freya Allan) and Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) at the very end there. Watch below!
When last we left our characters, Geralt and Ciri had met each other for the first time. It looks like the second season will adapt Andrzej Sapkowski’s Blood of Elves, where Geralt takes Ciri to the witchers’ keep of Kaer Morhen and trains her in the monster-hunting profession.
The Witcher season 2 will drop on Netflix on December 17. But that’s not the only Witcher thing we’re getting this year.
The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf anime trailer and release date
In addition to The Witcher season 2, we’ll also get to watch The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, an animated feature about Vesemir, a young witcher who grows up to be Geralt’s mentor and will feature in the mother show as an older man. Watch the trailer below:
There’s a nifty poster, as well:
The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf comes out on Netflix on August 23.
