The second season of The Witcher is coming at the end of the year. But before that, Netflix is giving fans an appetizer with Nightmare of the Wolf, an anime movie all about Vesemir, the witcher who trained Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill).

That means Nightmare of the Wolf is a prequel set many years before the original series. Take a look:

I’m getting Castlevania vibes from this, which isn’t a bad thing.

The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf will drop on Netflix on August 23. And Vesemir will appear in live-action in The Witcher season 2 as an older man, played by Kim Bodnia.

As long as we’re watching trailers, let’s see what else is out there. James Wan is one of the most successful horror directors of the 21st century, having kickstarted the SawInsidious and Conjuring franchises before moving on to helm Aquaman and Fast & Furious movies. But clearly he still has a liking for horror, as the trailer for his newest project, Malignant, shows:

Malignant is out on September 10.

Sticking with horror, District 9 director Neill Blomkamp has a spooky new VR-themed screepshow coming out: Demonic. Watch the trailer below:

Demonic comes out on August 20.
