The thirteenth season of Doctor Who is coming, the third starring Jodie Whittaker in the title role. There will be a few changes this year, including the addition of comedian John Bishop as the Doctor’s new companion Dan — Mandip Gill will also continue on as Yaz, although Graham (Bradley Walsh) and Ryan (Tosin Cole) have both moved on. But the show is always changing, isn’t it?
Anyway, we got a trailer for the new season at this year’s Comic-Con@Home. Check it out:
There’s also a pretty prominent appearance by Game of Thrones veteran Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm) as a character named Vinder. “Whoa,” he says. What other reaction is appropriate for what the trailer dubs the Doctor’s “biggest adventure yet”?
Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality trailer
In other Doctor Who news, Whittaker’s Thirteenth Doctor and David Tennant’s fan favorite Tenth Doctor will guide fan an adventure through time and space in the upcoming video game Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality. There’s a trailer for that, too:
Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality will come out for next generation consoles and PCs on September 30. There’s no release date for Doctor Who season 13 as of yet, but we know it’s coming this year.
There was also no information about a potential successor to Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor, but let’s take it one thing at a time.
