This weekend, Doctor Who dropped the trailer for its upcoming thirteenth season, which includes Jodie Whittaker as the Doctor, Mandip Gill as her faithful companion Yaz, and comedian John Bishop as new companion Dan…plus a special guest:

Did you catch Game of Thrones star Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm) in there? He’s featured pretty prominently! He plays a recurring character named Vinder who will have his own ship:

“I get to play one of my favorite people I’ve ever played,” Anderson said in a video message during the Doctor Who panel. “This is a real-life childhood dream.”

From Game of Thrones to Doctor Who, that’s quite a journey. Doctor Who season 13 will premiere sometime this year.

Game of Thrones stars hype MoonfallGentleman Jack season 2, and M.O.M.: Mother of Madness

In other Game of Thrones celebrity news, here’s Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) selling us on her new comic book, M.O.M.: Mother of Madness.

Next up, Gemma Whelan (Yara Greyjoy) shared some pictures from behind the scenes of HBO’s Gentleman Jack, which is currently filming its second season:

This first season of this English period drama was dense, daring and very well-produced, with great performances from everyone in the cast including Whelan. Fingers crossed for a release date late this year, or maybe early next.

Finally, John Bradley (Samwell Tarly) hyped up his new project Moonfall, a sci-fi film from Independence Day director Roland Emmerich:

Moonfall also stars Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson, and Donald Sutherland. Not bad company! It’s due out on February 4, 2022.

They’ll be more Game of Thrones celebrity news before long; this lot is always up to something.
