We’ll have the release date information here as soon as it’s available.
Doctor Who season 13 cast
Jodie Whittaker is coming back in her third season as the Doctor. Rumors have been swirling about Whittaker’s tenure on the show, with lots of speculation that she will leave after season 13.
Historically, actors typically play the Doctor for three seasons before passing the torch to the next Doctor. Season 13 would mark Whittaker’s third season, so there is speculation that she will leave during the Doctor Who specials in 2022.
With the pandemic causing an unprecedented delay in filming, it feels like Whittaker has been piloting the TARDIS longer than other modern-era Doctors, but that’s largely due to the span of time between season 12 and 13. She’s about to enter her third season and it’s possible that the BBC will keep her on in the role through the pandemic because now is not the time for big changes.
Mandip Gill will return in season 13 along with John Bishop, who will play Dan, the new Companion. A panel at the recent Comic-Con@Home event also introduced Jacob Anderson as Vinder, a new character to be introduced in season 13.
