Star Wars TV show The Book of Boba Fett will “blow your mind”

Disney is hard at work trying to create a Star Wars cinematic universe. The first really successful offensive in this effort, The Mandalorian, is two very successful seasons into its life. But they have a lot more to come. There will be a whole show about Ahsoka Tano, who was introduced in The Mandalorian season 2 where she was played by Rosario Dawson. The Mandalorian also brought back Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison), and revealed at the end of the season that he’d be getting his own show: The Book of Boba Fett!

We don’t exactly what this new show will be about, but it looks like it’ll involve Boba and Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) running Jabba the Hutt’s old criminal empire. Robert Rodriguez, who directed the episode of The Mandalorian season 2 that really brought Boba Fett back into the fold, will be executive producing the series, and he sounds very excited about it.

“Wait until you see what’s coming,” Rodriguez told Collider. “It’s going to blow your mind. That’s all I can say. I can talk it up all I want, because I know it over-delivers. It way over-delivers. People are going to be so pumped when they see it.”

The Book of Boba Fett is the second of many Star Wars shows to come on Disney+

Disney has been putting a lot more time and effort into its offerings on Disney+ lately, and so far it’s paid off. All of the Marvel shows — from WandaVision to Loki — have at least been entertaining, and I see no reason why all the upcoming Star Wars shows should be any different.

That said, will fans have the bandwidth to get excited about all of them? There are quite a few on the way.

The Book of Boba Fett premieres on Disney+ this December, although we still don’t know the exact date.
