Star Wars Terrifying Tales trailer puts spooktacular spin on the franchise
The trailer for Star Wars Terrifying Tales puts a spooky spin on the galaxy far far away, suggesting this Halloween Special will be as fun as What If…?
Star Wars fans have celebrated the winter holidays with Christmas specials, both in live-action and LEGO form. However, this year, Disney is bringing the Force to a completely different holiday: Halloween. And judging by the first trailer for Star Wars Terrifying Tales, it’s going to be totally bananas:
The Halloween special promises to throw some of our favorite Star Wars characters into spooky situations, presenting fans with scenarios that, as Syfy Wire suggests, feel strikingly similar to what’s happening in Marvel’s What If…? The trailer sees Poe Dameron (Jack Green), BB-8, and a mechanic named Dean (Raphael Alejandro) arriving on Mustafar — the perfect planet for a hair-raising experience. The three find themselves on a tour of Castle Vader, ushered forward by none other than Vaneé (Tony Hale).
That tour takes the trio through a number of scary stories set in the Star Wars universe, all of them focused on major characters. The first two tales follow villains Ben Solo, Darth Maul, and General Grievous, and the final story takes Luke Skywalker on a nightmarish journey after he’s granted his greatest wish.
All in all, Star Wars Terrifying Tales promises to be an entertaining addition to Lucasfilm’s lineup of Disney+ content. As for when fans can catch the LEGO Star Wars Halloween special, it will be available to stream on Disney+ starting on October 1.
