Yesterday was Star Trek Day, and Paramount served up lots of teasers and info about the many series currently exploring the final frontier. The biggest drop was probably a trailer for the second season of Star Trek: Picard, which sees Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) and crew going back to the 21st century, all to prevent a future that Q (John de Lancie) has transformed into a “totalitarian nightmare.”

We also have a premiere window: Star Trek: Picard season 2 will kick off on Paramont+ in February of 2022. A third season has also been confirmed.

A bit closer in time, we also got a new trailer for Paramount’s animated Star Trek show aimed at a younger set: Star Trek: Prodigy, which features the return of Star Trey: Voyager veteran Kate Mulgrew as Captain Kathryn Janeway.

Star Trek: Prodigy premieres on October 28.

Celia Rose Gooding is Uhura in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

There’s also Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, which takes the original, unaired pilot for the very first Star Trek series and turns it into a whole show. We already knew that we would spend more time with the likes of Captain Pike (Anson Mount), Number One (Rebecca Romijn) and Spock (Ethan Peck). Now, a new video unveils the rest of the cast, including Celia Rose Gooding as Nyota Uhura, an iconic character from the original series.

Beyond that, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds stars Jess Bush as Nurse Christine Chapel, Christina Chong as La’an Noonien-Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as Cadet Nyota Uhura, Melissa Navia as Lt. Erica Ortegas, Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. M’Benga and Bruce Horak as Hemmer. Unlike shows like Picard and DiscoveryStrange New Worlds will have a more episodic feel to it, with the gang going on discrete adventures every week.

Speaking on Discovery, we don’t have a trailer for that one yet, but Paramount did announce that it will return on Thursday, November 18.

Is that enough Star Trek for you?
