Scream was one of the biggest horror movies of the 90s. If you were a 90s kid/teen/adult, you most likely watched this movie hiding behind a pillow right before you developed a crippling fear of answering the phone. I recently watched Scream for the heck of it, and while I don’t think the horror holds up at all, it’s still a classic nonetheless.

To celebrate the movie’s 25th anniversary, Airbnb is doing something extra special. Folks can now stay in the original Scream house for as low as $5/night. The only thing is, you can only spend one night there, and it’s got to be on October 27, 29 or Halloween night.

Obviously, everyone is going to want to go for that extra horror factor and try to stay there on Halloween night. I’m not sure I could pull that off, especially when I think about those open windows peering out into the dark backyard. No thank you!

The house is located in Northern California and is a one bed/one bath with two queen beds and two air mattresses. So if you get the opportunity to go, you can take your posse with you. But just remember, don’t ever split up! That’s horror movie 101!

Scream fans, pack your bags!

If you snag a coveted one-night stay at the Scream house, then you’ll get a special treat from David Arquette, who plays Sheriff Dewey Riley in the movies. He will be there virtually at check-in, likely to make sure you feel safe and protected. Yeah, a guy talking from a screen is going to really make us feel safe in that spooky house.

And safe it shall not be according to the official Air BNB listing where Arquette teases, “Ghostface has returned to terrorize our town, so we’ll need to be careful to avoid any encounters (we all know he loves to make an entrance).”

Entrance?! What does that mean?! Is someone just going to waltz into the house and attack you? This is giving me American Horror Story: Murder House vibes.

In addition to this being the anniversary of the first Scream, we’ve also got Scream 5 releasing in theaters on January 14, 2022. The studio wants folks hyped, and what better way than to frighten them silly?

During your stay, you will get to tour the home, see the “evidence” of what went down there, and then get the chance to watch the first four films on VHS (heck yes, totally 90s!) with 90s snacks to boot. You may even get a chance to call Ghostface, or the other way around…

It’s going to be very difficult to book your one-night stay at the Scream house, so if you can’t, Scream screenwriter Kevin Williamson will be hosting “a chilling Online Experience” to talk about how the movies were made. This will take place on October 28 and will cost around $100 to attend.

If you want to try and book the house, you can heading to the official listing here when the contest starts at 1:00 p.m. EST on October 12.
