Of all the Marvel movies on the horizon, the new Blade film starring Mahershala Ali is perhaps the one we’ve gotten the least amount of information on so far. The film was announced way back at San Diego Comic-Con during 2019, and since then Marvel’s been awfully quiet about the movie and when it will come out. But now, there’s some evidence online that may finally reveal when the movie will be released.

As the The A.V. Club reports, on Tuesday, the Marvel India Twitter page accidentally released a graphic that included the release dates of future Marvel movies coming to the country. Of course, the tweet has since been deleted — making it even more suspicious — but luckily, you can see a screenshot over on Collider. And based on the graphic, Blade will be coming out on October 7, 2022.

When does Blade come out?

To corroborate this being true, we can look at the other projects included in the graphic. For example, it lists Eternals as coming out on November 5 — which is the correct date for both India and the U.S. And it has also been confirmed that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be released on March 25, as the graphic says.

So given that the rest of the movie dates seem to line up with what we’ve been told, it definitely seems plausible that Blade will be coming out on October 7 of next year. And seeing as tomorrow will mark one year until the movie supposedly comes out, it’s possible the tweet was meant to be sent tomorrow just for the occasion.

Still, that means production for Blade will have to get underway ASAP. We’ve yet to see any news that filming has begun. But it’s possible Marvel Studios will want to announce that as well this week. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens, but hopefully some good news will be on the way for Marvel fans.
