Harry Lloyd as Lucius Malfoy

Harry Lloyd has had a long and impressive career, but Game of Thrones fans probably know him best for his time as Viserys Targaryen during the show’s first season. Lloyd played his part well, making just about every viewer despise him for his entitlement — and his treatment of his sister and all the other people whose paths he crossed during those early episodes.

That antagonism would serve him well during a Harry Potter reboot, particularly if he were to put on a silver-blonde wig once more and step into the shoes of Lucius Malfoy. Draco’s father is equally as entitled as Viserys, though his character does actually have some bite behind all that bark, which would change the character just enough for Lloyd to get interested again.

And if Lloyd were to play Lucius as convincingly as he played the older Targaryen sibling, fans would be counting the moments until his downfall following Order of the Phoenix. That’s the measure of a well-acted villain, and it’s the only way a new version of the character would be able to follow Jason Isaacs’ take. All those moments when Viserys backs off with his tail between his legs will come in handy when Lucius needs to do exactly that during the Battle of Hogwarts.
