Who to cast as Harry’s wretched adopted families? Game of Thrones veteran Mark Addy would make a good Vernon. As King Robert Baratheon, he was brash, rude and haughty. Plus he’s physically imposing. What more do you need?

Kate Dickie as Petunia Dursley

Sticking with Game of Thrones cast members, Kate Dickie would be perfect as Petunia Dursley. As Lysa Arryn, she was stuck up, unhinged, and coddled her spoiled son way past the point of comfort. She’d have to tone it down a bit for Harry Potter, but the pieces are all there.

Jeremy Ray Taylor as Dudley Dursley

Jeremy Ray Taylor played young Ben Hanscom in the IT movies, and while he his character was very sweet there, but playing some as vile as Harry’s bully of an older brother would give him a chance to explore new territory as an actor. Also, of the three Dursleys, Dudley has the biggest arc and becomes something approaching a decent person by the end, so he could get back to that sweetness eventually.
