Looking for a show that will send a tingle down your spine this Halloween? Consider binging one of these six spooky television series.
Stream Penny Dreadful on Hulu
Penny Dreadful was only around for three seasons on Showtime, but it made an impact. The heroes of this story fight vampires, witches and finally Dracula in a dense, moody adventure. The cast is great too. Josh Hartnett and Timothy Dalton turn in solid performances, but the show belongs to Eva Green as the enigmatic Vanessa Ives.
Stream Stranger Things on Netflix
Stranger Things has been creeping out ’80s babies and Zoomers alike for three seasons now. It may be set in the ’80s, but the interdimensional beasties on this show can give anyone a fright.
Stream Lovecraft Country on HBO Max
Lovecraft Country ran for one horrific season on HBO. This series has everything: body horror, cults, and fox-tailed demons that kill people during sex. It’s one imaginatively gruesome image after another when you’re watching Lovecraft Country.
Stream Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is a little lighter and campier than the other shows on this list, but it will still provide plenty of Satanic chills.
Stream Attack on Titan on Hulu
Attack on Titan isn’t a traditional horror series, but I’m sorry: the enormous titans are terrifying, what with their blank stares, singular focus and bottomless for human flesh. Watch it and tell me I’m not right.
Stream Supernatural on Netflix
How can you beat 15 seasons of demons, angels, vampires, werewolves, ghosts and absolutely every other terrifying creature you can think of? The Winchester brothers have seen it all, and you can see it with them.
