Outlander fans, rejoice! Entertainment Weekly has a sneak peek at one very *steamy* scene between Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) Fraser coming in the show’s sixth season, provided by executive producers Maril Davis and Matthew B. Roberts as well as Balfe herself. It’s not an actual clip, but we’ll take whatever we can get!

So what is this scene all about? Find out below!

Outlander season 6 keeps the Fraser passion going

Claire suffered through some horrible trauma last season, so I assumed we’d be seeing less passion between her and Jamie. But it looks like the show plans on getting Claire through this very jarring moment in her life, and better yet, she will feel very comfortable in the arms of her beautiful, gorgeous husband.

In the scene, Claire and Jamie are discussing the arrival of the Christie family — Tom (Mark Lewis Jones) and his two children, Allan (Alexander Vlahos) and Malva (Jessica Reynolds) — at Fraser’s Ridge. Jamie and Tom go way back; they spent times in Ardsmuir prison together, but it doesn’t mean that this reunion will be pleasant.

“We just wanted to come into the first episode and really give you background on that relationship,” Roberts said. “There’s this assumption that all of Jamie’s Ardsmuir men are people he had a good relationship with and who look up to him, and that might not be the case.”

In fact, it will be far from the case.

Anyway, a stressful conversation between Jamie and Claire soon turns into a passionate encounter, which is pretty common on Outlander. As Claire begins making plans to help the Christie family out, Jamie is overwhelmed with love for his dear wife. “Claire…sometimes I think ye are an angel,” he tells her. That, of course, leads to “passionate kissing.”

"Claire: “Would an angel do this?”Jamie: “Aye…”Claire: “…and this?”"

And that’s where it ends. Use your imagination.

Jamie also remembers that during their time at Ardsmuir, Tom learned that his wife passed away. For Jamie, the hope that Claire might still be alive kept him going. Davis explained that Claire was “a tether for Jamie at Ardsmuir Prison.”

Sadly, that wasn’t the case for Tom and or his kids. “Even during the 20 years Jamie thought he’d never see Claire again, she was always his touchstone. Tom and his kids never had that tether,” Davis said. “They’re all coming to the Ridge searching for something, whether that’s salvation, hope, or whatever it is. I’m not sure if they’ll find it. [Meanwhile,] Jamie and Claire keep thinking they’re safe at Fraser’s Ridge, but in season 6 we’re asking, ‘What do you do when your home turns against you?’ We’ll see how that happens in their own backyard.”

Things might not be as safe as they once were in Fraser’s Ridge, and not just because of the Christie family’s arrival. The American Revolutionary War has finally arrived, so there will be lots of issues and dilemmas to contend with when Outlander season 6 premieres next year.
