Priyanka Bose as Alanna Mosvani

Alanna is of the Green Ajah, one of many orders of Aes Sedai sorceresses. She’s noted for her temper and sense of humor. Bose is noted for her roles in movies like the Oscar-nominated Lion.

One interesting thing about Alanna, and indeed about all the characters on this slide, is that the don’t appear in the first book in The Wheel of Time series, The Eye of the World. And yet they’ve been cast in the first season of the show. That makes us wonder how far ahead of the first book the first season will get. Or perhaps there will be some flashbacks or flash-forwards?

Emmanuel Imani as Ihvon

Ihvon is Alanna’s Warder. Imani is a Nigerian actor known for roles in series like Cobra and Black Earth Rising.

Taylor Napier as Maksim

Maksim is also a Warder to Alanna Mosvani; members of the Green Ajah specialize in battle and tend to take more than one bodyguard.

Sophie Okonedo as Siuan Sanche

And who leads the famous Aes Sedai? That would be the Amyrlin Seat. At the time of this story, the Amyrlin Seat is Siuan Sanche, who grew from a fishmonger’s daughter to become one of the most powerful women in the world.

Sophie Okonedo has a pretty impressive resume, too; like Rosamund Pike, she an Academy Awards nominee, having gotten a nod for her performance as Tatiana Rusesabagina in 2004’s Hotel Rwanda.

Jennifer Cheon Garcia as Leane Sharif

Leane is another of the Aes Sedai, She is the Keeper of the Chronicles, a position that puts her very close to the Amyrlin Seat, the leader of the Aes Sedai.

Garcia has done a lot of TV work, including on shows like The FlashThe 100 and Supergirl.

Kate Fleetwood as Liandrin Guirale

Liandrin is an Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah, who dedicate themselves to tracking down men who can channel the One Power and stop them before they can do too much damage.

Fleetwood is an English actor with some impressive titles on her resume, including Elizabeth: The Golden AgeHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Clare Perkins as Kerene Nagashi

Kerene is an Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah and its Captain-General, tasked with finding the Dragon Reborn.

Peter Franzén as a Warder

The name of whatever character Peter Franzén is playing hasn’t been revealed, but he’ll be a Warder to Kerene Nagashi.
