3. A Heath story

Heath (Corey Hawkins) is one of these forgotten characters in The Walking Dead Universe. His absence has been a topic of discussion among fans for some time now. Many believe we’ll see him again in the show, or in the wider franchise, at some time in the future.

A resident of Alexandria, he has not appeared on the show since season 7, in the episode “Swear,” when he got separated from Tara (Alanna Masterson) outside the Oceanside community.

Behind the camera, it’s clear that Hawkins had to depart the role due to conflicts with other projects he was involved in. At the time, he was cast in both Kong: Skull Island and Straight Outta Compton, so the writers decided to write him out of the show… but as far as we know, Heath is still alive.

The only hint we have of Heath’s whereabouts comes in the form of a key card featuring only the letters “PPP” on it. Many viewers are still waiting for the secret behind that card to be revealed. But with the show drawing to a close and Tara dead, the chances that we’ll see him again seem low:

As Tales of The Walking Dead will only feature short story arcs, it’s a good chance to give fans some closure on what actually happened to Hearth when he drove away in the RV. Perhaps he ended up at the Civic Republic or the Commonwealth? If Cory Hawkins has a clear schedule, it’s possible they could use a Tales episode as a platform to bring him back into the wider franchise in some way.
