Hannah Waddingham joins Hocus Pocus 2, and more Game of Thrones alum news
By Dan Selcke
Not long ago, the news that Game of Thrones veteran Hannah Waddingham — who played Septa Unella the Shame Nun during Cersei’s infamous walk — had gotten a new gig probably wouldn’t have been big news. But now that she’s won an Emmy for her work on Ted Lasso, Waddingham’s profile has risen significantly, and we’re excited to report that she’ll appear aside original Hocus Pocus cast members Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy and Bette Midler in the upcoming sequel from Disney!
Also on the roster are Tony Hale, Sam Richardson, and Doug Jones, who played the zombie Billy Butcherson. If you’re of a certain age and saw the first Hocus Pocus when you were a kid, you may be getting excited right now.
There’s no release date for Hocus Pocus 2 yet, but expect it out on Disney+ next fall.
Jonn Bradley stars with Halle Berry in the Moonfall trailer
Moving on, Game of Thrones star John Bradley (Samwell Tarly) is keeping some pretty impressive company in the trailer for Moonfall, a throwback to those disaster movies from a couple of decades back; it’s even directed by Roland Emmerich, the guy behind Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow. This time the trouble comes from some kind of dangerous life form…from the moon.
The movie stars Bradley, Halle Berry and Patrick Wilson. Moonfall arrives in theaters on February 4, 2022.
Next up, we have Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (Gregor “the Mountain” Clegane) doing absolutely everything he can to sell Age of Empires IV, which came out last week on Microsoft Windows on Xbox Cloud Gaming.
That is committed spokesperson-ship is what that is.
Finally, let’s close out with Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) posing the house down in stylish clothes:
Thank you, Mrs. Turner.
