The Witcher season 2 isn’t coming out in November 2021

The Witcher was a hit the instant the first season landed on Netflix in 2019. People loved seeing Henry Cavill’s Geralt of Rivia cut a swath through the monsters (and monstrous people) of the Continent, and the wait for a follow-up season has been hard.

Happily, it’s almost over! Fans will be able to watch The Witcher season 2 in just under a month; the new episodes drop on December 17, 2022.

Unfortunately, that means The Witcher season 2 isn’t coming out this month, November. But we’ve waited this long. What’s a couple weeks more?

Is Witcher season 2 out?

When last we left Geralt, he had finally met up with Ciri (Freya Allan) and was about to take her to the witchers’ keep of Kaer Morhen…or at least that’s what happens in The Witcher novels by Andrzej Sapkowski. Meanwhile, Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) had fought in the brutal Battle of Sodden against the invading nation of Nilfgaard. We’ve seen in teasers and trailers that she survives, but she’s not in great shape.

Season 2 will follow up on all of these storylines, and probably introduce a few of its own. And there’s just a couple more weeks to wait. In the meantime, there’s plenty else to watch:
