Yellowstone, a period drama starring Kevin Costner as the head of the Dutton ranching family, is one of the most popular cable dramas on TV today, but it can be difficult to find on a streaming service. Here’s what you need to know.
Yellowstone airs on Paramount Network, a basic cable channel. The easiest way to watch the show, which is currently airing its fourth season, is to watch it there, and considering how good the ratings are, plenty of people have chosen that option.
But if you would rather watch the show on streaming, you have your work cut out for you. Since the show airs on Paramount Network, you’d figure you could watch it on Paramount+…right? Wrong. The first three seasons of Yellowstone are actually only streamable on Peacock, NBC’s streaming service.
Where to stream Yellowstone season 4
Why is a Paramount show only available on Peacock? Well, back before Paramount and NBC had launched their respective streaming services, NBC bought the streaming rights to the show. At the time, maybe Paramount didn’t think Yellowstone was worth streaming on their upcoming service? They’re surely kicking themselves now.
And if you want to stream the current fourth season, the only option is to log into the Paramount Network website. Elsewise, new episodes drop on Sundays on the Paramount Network.
