Game of Thrones Studio Tour opening date revealed
By Cody Schultz
Ever find yourself wishing you could experience the magic of Game of Thrones in person? Well, your wish is about to finally come true…sort of.
While you might never be able to actually visit Westeros, beginning in 2022 fans across the globe will finally get the chance to step into the world of Game of Thrones through the Game of Thrones Studio Tour.
What is the Game of Thrones Studio Tour?
This new immersive experience has been created as a celebration of HBO’s beloved series. Fans can take a peek behind the curtain and explore some of the real-life sets from the show, check out early concepts and designs that helped to bring it to life, and take in an expansive collection of costumes and props used throughout the show’s eight seasons
Where is the Game of Thrones Studio Tour located?
The Game of Thrones Studio Tour is located in Banbridge, Northern Ireland, roughly 30 minutes from Belfast. That’s a fitting location given that many of the show’s scenes were shot across various locations in Northern Ireland. But the connection goes even deeper, as the new museum is housed within the studios where many of the show’s interior scenes were filmed, including the Great Hall at Winterfell and Daenerys Targaryen‘s Dragonstone throne room!
Game of Thrones Studio Tour tickets
If you’re ready to book a trip to Northern Ireland and take in the Game of Thrones Studio Tour, you’ll have to wait until at least February 4, 2022, the opening date, although you can buy tickets now on the official website. There are a variety of ticket options to choose from, including single and group tickets.
There are also ticket packages that include transportation, making it even easier for those unfamiliar with the area to celebrate their favorite fantasy series!
