Sam Coleman, who played Young Hodor on Game of Thrones, recently got out of the hospital after being on oxygen mask due to complications from COVID. The story began a couple of weeks ago when he posted about testing positive for the virus despite having the AstraZeneca vaccine.

"So today has been a ride… tested positive last night, today I’ve gone through all the motions (temperature fluctuations, weakness, loss of taste, headaches, this darn cough etc) everything apart from the difficulty breathing bit. Let’s hope it stays that way."

Unfortunately, Coleman’s condition worsened and he was admitted to Conquest Hospital in Hastings, England on November 20, where he was treated for a lung infection. His next post was from the hospital:

"About that positive test… ICYMI – I’m in hospital with oxygen being pumped into my lungs.Wish I could put a positive spin on it but it’s pretty shit so 🤷🏼‍♂️ whoops.Stay safe out there."

Happily, Coleman was released on November 26; his last post was about being back home with his adorable dog.

After appearing on Game of Thrones, Coleman went on to star in movies like A Fistful of LeadLord of Chaos and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel Leatherface. According to Metro, he’s also on the Labour Rother District Councillor for Sidley in East Sussex. At 25 years old, he’s the youngest member on the governmental body.

Thank goodness Coleman is okay! We’re very glad he’s on the mend.
