The Boys season 3 isn’t coming out in December 2021
By WiC Staff
Amazon has a hit with The Boys, its loose adaptation of Garth Ennis’ gleefully irreverent superhero series. Basically, this series asks, “What if Superman, but he’s a complete an total ass?”
Actually, pretty much off of the superheroes in this show are self-absorbed jerks more liable to massacre a city than save it. Superman analog Homelander (Antony Starr) is just the most powerful, and also the most messed up. But if any of these heroes ever say they’re here to save the day, run for your life.
The second season of The Boys ended with Homelander’s latest horrible deeds more or less swept under the rug as he retook his place as the face of the super-corporation Vought, but at least the titular Boys — a superhero-fighting squad who now earned the sympathies of a couple of people close to Homelander — have some leverage over the psycho. Still, one figures that won’t last too long.
The Boys season 3 release date
Filming on The Boys season 3 has finished, but we don’t know when exactly it will drop. That means there’s no way it will be along before the end of the year. The Boys is now a pretty big show for Amazon and they’ll want to promote it.
Expect to see The Boys season 3 come along sometime in 2022, hopefully earlier rather than later.
