Harry Potter stars come back in first look at Return to Hogwarts HBO Max special
By Dan Selcke
At the turn of the new year, the Hogwarts Express will send up a plume and steam and clack along the track to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, which has captured the imagination of so many over the years, whether through the Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling or the movie adaptations from Warner Bros. Hard as it to believe, it’s been 20 years since the first of those movies came out in theaters, and the studio is celebrating with a TV special that reunites a ton of the cast members
The other day, after the conclusion of the Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses quiz show on TBS and Cartoon Network, Warner Bros. dropped a teaser for the special featuring a few of those actors. Get your first look at Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts:
Above we have Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid), Matthew Lewis (Neville), and Mark Williams (Arthur Weasley) all making their return trips. And who is that on the train platform? Any ideas?
Who is in the Harry Potter reunion special?
The special will bring back a ton of the actors from the movies. In addition to those three, it will also include Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Helena Bonham Carter, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Tom Felton, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Evanna Lynch and others. They will be hanging out on the sets from the films as they remember making them.
Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts drops on HBO Max on January 1, 2022.
