If you haven’t yet seen the footage from Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, Disney’s upcoming Star Wars hotel experience, it seems you’re fresh out of luck. Disney appears to be in crisis mode and has scrubbed all previously released footage from the internet…at least from all official forums.

During ABC’s broadcast of The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration special in November, Disney debuted a brand new first look at its new Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel. While on the shorter side, the video gave fans a look at the plans for the hotel. Following the broadcast, Disney shared out the footage via YouTube as well as on its various social media platforms.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser footage pulled by Disney following criticism

After the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruister footage made its way online, fans started talking. Unfortunately for Disney, the majority of the feedback was far from positive, with fans calling the footage incredibly disappointing. Although the footage is gone, screenshots show that it had a lot more dislikes than likes, perhaps from fans who didn’t think it looked worth the very steep price point; it costs nearly $6,000 for a two-night stay with the cheapest package. While Disney is used to criticism, it seems they weren’t quite expecting such a negative reaction.

“This is not a hotel,” Imagineering executive Scott Trowbridge told Entertainment Weekly, perhaps trying to justify the price. “[It’s] part video game, live-action role-play, immersive theater, and luxury experience all rolled into one.”

We imagine Disney will likely re-release the footage again at some point, but they might make some minor (or perhaps major) adjustments before doing so.
