The Wheel of Time is still going strong over on Amazon Prime Video, and picking up steam ahead of its big finale. There are two episodes left, and penultimate — “The Dark Along the Ways” drops tomorrow.
Amazon released a whole bevy of images from this one, so let’s get to looking.
The Wheel of Time gets lost in the Ways
The last episode ended with Moiraine taking the Emond’s Fielders into the Ways, a magical transportation network that will let them cover a large amount of distance in a short amount of time.
What are the ways like? Based on these images, pretty spooky:
But the gang won’t stay in the Ways for too long. When they emerge, they visit the Borderlands city of Fal Dara, which is in a constant state of vigilance as it guards against the spread of the Blight, an area of rot and pestilence spreading out from the Dark One’s prison.
The Wheel of Time visits Fal Dara
Below, our characters wander the streets of this strange city:
We meet some new characters in Fal Dara, including Lord Agelmar and his sister Lady Amalisa.
The Emond’s Fielders are new to Fal Dara, but Moiraine and Lan have walked these halls before. In fact, Lan is from his area.
Moiraine’s plan is to take the Emond’s Fielders — Rand, Egwene, Nynaeve and Perrin — to the Eye of the World to confront the Dark One. One of them is the Dragon Reborn and may have a chance of defeating the Dark One while he’s weakened. The others may die. That means the group has some heavy decisions to make:
And there’s nothing like potential death to get you thinking of romance:
Will the identity of the Dragon be revealed by episode’s end?
Min Farshaw joins The Wheel of Time
Finally, we’ll meet an important character from the books in Fal Dara: Min Farshaw, played by Game of Thrones veteran Kae Alexander (she played Leaf, one of the Children of the Forest):
It should be a jam-packed episode!
