See new images from The Wheel of Time season finale

The Wheel of Time season finale is almost here! Get a glimpse of what happens to Rand, Moiraine, Perrin, Egwene and the rest.

The Wheel of Time season 1 is just about over, and it’s been a success. The first three episodes logged over a billion minutes watched the week of their debut, and while not all fans have been pleased, overall the show has won a lot of people over with its well-intentioned adaptation of Robert Jordan’s source material. I know I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s finale, “The Eye of the World.”

Speaking of, Amazon has released a bevy of images from the new episode. Check out some below, starting with Rand and Moiraine making their way to the Eye of the World for a confrontation with the Dark One:

The pair are making their way through the Blight, a pestilent land ravaged by the influence of the Dark One. Rand has been revealed as the Dragon Reborn, and opted to go with Moiraine to meet the Dark One alone rather than risk the lives of his friends. Who knows what challenges they’ll encounter on the way?

Meanwhile, Perrin, Egwene, Nynaeve and Lan are left back in the fortress city of Fal Dara:

It looks like the romance between Lan and Nynaeve will continue:

Also present in Fal Dara are Lord Agelmar and his sister Lady Amalisa, who rule this place:

It looks like the city is going to be in some danger, with Lord Agelmar facing down an offscreen enemy:

To battle!

And here’s an intriguing one: Rand and Egwene making eyes at each other. Do they get to reunite at the end of the episode, or are we seeing some kind of flashback or dream or something?

The Dark One has many tricks up his sleeve…
