We’re several weeks into 2022 now, and while I can’t speak for how everyone’s day-to-day lives are going, there’s at least plenty to watch on TV. Between The Book of Boba FettPeacemaker and more, there’s been a lot to take in, and the good times are only going to continue to roll into February.

So what in the wide world of fantasy, sci-fi, superheroes and such is on tap this upcoming month? Well, that’s what we’re here to tell you…

Raising Dion season 2 — Netflix — February 1

Netflix has a few superhero series in the hopper. The third season of The Umbrella Academy is coming later this year. For now, we get to enjoy the second season of Raising Dion, about a young boy who manifests superheroic abilities.

In the first season, Dion’s mother Nicole tried to keep his gifts a secret while getting down to the bottom of where they came from. Now they’ve been living with Dion’s abilities for a while, and have learned he’s not the only person with superpowers out there. As the trailer shows, a particularly creepy one joins him at school.

Raising Dion season 2 arrives in its entirely on Netflix on February 1.

Raised by Wolves season 2 — HBO Max — February 3

Raised by Wolves didn’t make a huge splash when it debuted on HBO Max in 2020, but it has the pedigree and imagination to be a big hit. The show, which comes from the mind of Alien director Ridley Scott, is about a pair of androids raising human children in isolation in the wake of a brutal religious war. Naturally, the outside world comes knocking, and the fierce Mother must make sure her charges are kept safe. The second season picks up with Mother and Father as they move their brood to a new location, but challenges persist.

The show has a big budget and some big names behind it. Maybe this will be the season it takes off.
