The Orville: New Horizons gets off to an intense start in advance clip

After two seasons on Fox, Seth MacFarlane’s Star Trek parody/homage/wholly new thing The Orville returns on Hulu later this year, now bearing the subtitle New Horizons. Hulu just released the first few minutes of the new season, and it looks…pretty intense! The preview drops us right into the heart of the action as the USS Orville is under heavy attack in the midst of an outer space dogfight.
There aren’t any jokes to speak of; it’s pretty convincing sci-fi violence. Check it out below:
The Orville season 3 premieres on Hulu on June 2. It will feature the final performance from comedian Norm Macdonald.
Netflix and Peacock preview what they have to offer in 2022
Elsewhere in trailers, Netflix gave us an advance look at the movies it has coming in 2022. Check out sneak peaks at Knives Out 2, The Adam Project, Enola Holmes 2, The School for Good and Evil, Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, and Jason Momoa twirling dressed like a giant elf demon in Slumberland:
Not to be outdone, Peacock also dropped a look at what it has coming this year, including Kate McKinnon as Carole Baskin in Joe vs Carole, werewolf romantic comedy Wolf Like Me, and new supernatural drama Vampire Academy:
